OB/GYN Profile

Women’s health may be challenging but it’s a challenge I find to be exciting, both professionally and personally. It is a privilege to be a witness to all those transformations a woman can experience, from birth to menopause, and to be a participant in the shared decision-making I can make with my patients.

I recognize that my patients may feel vulnerable and anxious during their visits, and so my goal is to always treat them with respect. I like to discuss the range of care options available, and we will work together to create a plan based on their individual health status and history. We will focus on everything from watching and waiting to medication and surgery, for everything from contraception to pregnancy, heavy periods, fibroids and menopause and PCOS.

I always wanted to do something of service for my career, and found that studying medicine allowed me to keep up with the newest science and its applications for people in a very concrete way. It’s also a way for me to help people and, in the process, I get to learn a little something about them, as well.

In medical school I was fortunate to have excellent teachers who told me I had a knack for multi-tasking and using my hands. Obstetrics and gynecology allows me to do just that. I am able to spend time in clinic counseling patients, and time doing deliveries and surgery, which provides a lot of variety that I enjoy.

In my spare time, I like hanging out with my husband and friends, exploring new restaurants and wine-tasting in Napa.
