Robert Peterson, MD
Orthopedics, Sports Medicine, Shoulder Surgery, Joint ReplacementAlthough I am a general orthopedic surgeon, the focus of my practice is sports medicine. I love all sports and I understand that the physical demands are different for athletes. My goal is to help the athlete return to competition as quickly and safely as possible. I offer treatment options, both surgical and non-surgical, as they relate to sports-specific injuries and competition.
I have studied shoulder, elbow and knee surgery with nationally known experts in their field. I often recommend arthroscopic surgery, which is a minimally invasive surgical procedure that allows most patients to return home several hours after their surgery.
In addition to my practice, I have taught various arthroscopy procedures as an associate master instructor for the Arthroscopic Association of North America. I have been the team physician for UC Davis, Solano Community College, Davis High School, Vacaville High School and Will C. Wood High School.
