New Podiatrist Joins the Team
The orthopedics practice at NorthBay Health recently welcomed its newest podiatrist,Austin Vonasek, D.P.M., to the team.
He joined the NorthBay Podiatry Department after completing a Foot and Ankle Advanced Surgical Fellowship at WVU Medicine Wheeling Hospital in July, which focused on deformity correction and trauma.
Dr. Vonasek completed his residency at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center in Indiana, and obtained his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine from the California School of Podiatric Medicine in Oakland.
“As a podiatrist, I can help patients with their foot and ankle issues, both conservatively and surgically, and enjoy guiding them through their journey,” Dr. Vonasek noted. “And many times, I can help them feel better walking out of my office than when they walked in.”
Dr. Vonasek treats all kinds of foot and ankle conditions, from bunions and hammertoes to heel pain and sports-related injuries, and works with patients of all ages.
“I have a special interest in sports medicine, minor to complex foot and ankle trauma, as well as total ankle replacement, and I completed a fellowship that specialized in foot and ankle reconstruction and trauma. I also treat all aspects of diabetic foot care and deformity correction.”
Dr. Vonasek sees patients at NorthBay Health Orthopedics in Vacaville at 1010 Nut Tree Road, Suite 200, and in Fairfield at 2500 Hilborn Road.
